Okot Electric was founded by Philips Okot, a licensed electrician who grew up in a rural village in Uganda without electricity or running water. One day, his grandfather took him to the city where he saw electric lights for the first time, a moment that sparked a lifelong curiosity and purpose.
After completing electrical school and moving to the United States, Philips worked full-time, took side jobs, and saved carefully to support his family. In 2023, he founded Okot Electric with a simple belief: "Work is built on service & Reputation is built on trust." That belief still guides every decision we make, from the way we communicate to the quality of work we deliver.
